The final weeks of school are the most difficult to keep students engaged and interested in learning. Activities that allow students to investigate, observe, and analyze help them think and learn without realizing it. The resources in this project provide these types of opportunities. Students will use mathematical representation to describe a simple model for waves that includes how the amplitude of a wave is related to the energy in a wave. They will develop and use a model to describe that waves are reflected, absorbed, or transmitted through various materials. Our classes will be able to expand on topics we have studied and see how they relate to one another. With this Wrap It Up project, I hope to end the year with a variety of lessons that will remind students of the concepts we have worked so hard on throughout the year and will hopefully leave them craving for more. Students need to be challenged and will reach higher standards when they are active learners. Please help us end our school year with a bang!
