I will be a first year teacher in an ICT classroom and I am doing my best in making the room a safe and fun environment for learning. A cold, dirty, tile floor is no place to learn. The meeting area is where a great deal of our time is spent daily, so I would like the kids to be as comfortable as possible. They will have enough to digest in the meeting area without adding being uncomfortable to the mix. They are a great group of kids who mostly reside in East Harlem. The school is considered high poverty, but it's a wonderfully close knit family atmosphere where the children's needs are put first. I am lucky to be a part of such a place.
