Nowadays we know that students are under much pressure. Anxiety and stress have been a huge problem in the everyday life of young people and adults. We need to teach our children positive healthy ways to alleviate stress. I want to have enough yoga mats for a entire classroom to promote mental and physical wellness. We can offer a room during recess or class times to teach yoga, relaxation and breathing techniques. Yoga can help students focus. Yoga enhances flexibility and strength. Students will be taught breathing techniques and yoga positions to help relax their mind and body. When students use these breathing techniques, it could help when applied to other stressful situations throughout their day. Yoga brings a sense of calmness and relaxation to our kids.
