I teach a group of 21 third-graders. They are eager to learn, want to help and are very chatty! They attend a primary school in North Carolina that teaches grades K-3. Our school is a Title I school which means we service students who are not currently meeting grade level expectations. I have nine students in my room who receive Title I services. In addition, we are the ESL (English as a Second Language) magnet school for the county so all students grades K-3 who are ESL are brought to our school. I have four ESL children in my class. My class is quite diverse considering I have about half who are currently below grade level and 4-5 who are above. The remaining are right about average. I also have four students in the room who are diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).
