In a small classroom in northern California, you will find a community of thirty second graders who are excited about reading. We are an ethnically diverse group of students, including many English learners and some special needs students. We read lots of books, recommend books to each other, talk about books, and write book reviews. Because of the range in reading abilities, from below grade level readers to advance readers, I create small group literature circles to meet the academic needs of all my students.
