My district is considered to be a low income district that serves awesome families. As a district, school, and teacher, there is a struggle to provide all of the materials necessary for student success. Our new reading curriculum is being provided by the district but not all of the components in order to ensure the program is implemented as intended. Our students are hungry to learn and need to be on task at all times to keep their focus. They need to see and hear exactly what is being discussed; therefore, the use of this document camera will definitely help with this. Not only will it keep my students' attention, but it offers another piece of technology in the classroom. Technology is the way of the world, and my students would love to learn more about a document camera. So often, due to our lack of funds by the district and families, my students are unable to have experiences with technology.
