I teach in a kindergarten/1st grade multi-age classroom. My students range from ages 5-7 with varying academic abilities. My classroom fosters independent workers when I am working with small groups. The older students are the leaders and offer support to the younger students. The classroom rug allows us a place to gather and work on classroom building activities so everyone learns to work together in a safe and positive manner.
