My 3rd grade students attend a school in which 98.4% of its students come from socioeconomic disadvantaged homes and 93.7% of students are on free or reduced lunch. 66.4% of the students at our school are English Language Learners. Despite all of these obstacles, my students show up to school eager to learn. Every day there are new and exciting learning possibilities available for our children. I want to take each of those learning possibilities and use them to help my students take reading to a whole new level!
