Our classroom would benefit significantly from receiving these microscopes, slides, rocks, and prisms. Currently we have a handful of microscopes & only a few slides that are shared among the six 5th grade classrooms. We currently do not have a rock collection which is one of the Standards of Learning that we teach for the grade. It would be very beneficial for the students to be able to see the various types of rock. The prisms would be a great tool to use in the classroom when we teach light. The students can see what happens to the light in the prism.
