Windham is a small, country school which houses grades 6-12. Each classroom has between 20-25 students, and the students take pride in their community. Being a small, economically disadvantaged school, they do not always have access to new novels as their resources are limited. The students are eager to learn, and most enjoy reading. My goal, as the sole High School English teacher in the building, is to foster a love for reading, and broaden their thinking about literature by using modern novels in conjunction with the classics.
