I would love to get a beautiful classroom carpet for my students to sit on during calendar time and centers. Students will sit on the floor daily and our classroom has tile. I think students would be more engaged and feel more cozy if they are sitting on a nice comfortable rug and not cold tile. Every child will have their own special place to sit in. They will all have enough space without touching others on the floor, and I believe it will help them stay focused on the task!. I think a bright rug with vibrant colors will give the students a feeling of happiness when they see it!
