Most of my students come from economically challenging positions and many only have one parent in the home. Our school is in a very rural area of Tennessee and we do not have the resources other schools do in larger areas. Most of the schools in our district are Title I schools and depend upon the generosity of others through fund raising and donations. Our families are working class farm and factory families that have very little resources to be able to share even though they would be willing to if possible.
