My Texan students belong to a Title 1 District where many come from a low socioeconomic status. Often, many encounter situations that only adults should have to be privy to. It is my mission to make my classroom my student's refuge. In our classroom students can feel safe and are allowed to grow, excel, and once in awhile, to also make mistakes (as well as learn from them). Ours is the world of adventure and meeting characters through fantastic literature. Life long learning happens as a byproduct of the trust we have in each other. I entrust them with reaching for their full potential, and as their educator they trust me to help them reach the goals they set for themselves. I have a deep commitment to every student based on the relationship we build together. Determined to be their advocate, I request the resources that will help them become successful! They count on me, now they can count on you!
