Making movies to show learning engages students more thoroughly than writing a traditional report. Students will create presentations using the green screen to put themselves or their subjects in the place they are exploring. The tripod, stand, and microphones will replace the presently very shaky hard-to-hear videos, thus allowing the students to have movies that look more professional. Students can concentrate more on content and less on holding the iPad still. The ability to use 21st century tools will allow the content to come to life in the classroom. Social Studies, Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math, and more can be presented in stop-motion, as news reports, cartoons, or whatever. The sky is the limit! Students love seeing themselves and their friends in videos. Being able to share the learning with our larger community will be powerful. What better way to engage students in learning.
