My 8th graders attend a low income district in Colorado. Many of my students live in households that receive financial assistance because they struggle to provide the basic needs for themselves and their children. I try to do as many hands-on activities and projects in my classroom as I can, but paying for materials out of my own pocket adds up quickly. My students are hard working and very appreciative of any and all projects in which they have the opportunity to participate.
