Students at my school are faced with challenges everyday. Ninety five percent are living in poverty, and the other five percent are very close. These children move around from apartment to apartment, sometimes are homeless, and some have scary home lives. School is a safe place for them, yet because of our low income population, they don't always get the same advantages as other schools. Despite all of these disadvantages, our students work hard to do well and are determined to break the cycle they are a part of.

About my class
