The use of technology is a daily activity in my classroom, especially in reading and math. The software program we use in the classroom adapts to the students' abilities and creates an individual instructional plan for them. This program is extremely important because it meets each student where they are and it prescribes a path to take them where they need to go. The students use the software program in reading and math centers and data reports are easily accessible to me to monitor their progress. Glitches are to be expected when working with technology, but challenges with headphones can disrupt an entire learning session for most students. In order for this software program to be effective, the students must have working headphones. Most classrooms in Kindergarten through 2nd grade struggle to have working headphones from day to day. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus on their individual learning path, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether or not their headphones are going to work today.
