The headphones, hand phones and journals will contribute to our reading and writing growth. During centers they can use each of them to read and write independently or in partnerships while other students benefit from working in small groups. Having their own headphones gives them an opportunity for individual reading in a busy classroom and the hand phones can improve language which is vital throughout the school day and everyday life. The spelling journals give them support with basic words but can be personalized with the words each student may need and added to as necessary.
