My classroom is full of students eager to learn. They are part of a district where 80% of students qualify for free and reduced lunch. Few of my students are afforded the luxury of having books to read at home and even fewer are able to make educational visits to expand their knowledge of their world. Books in the classroom helps bridge those gaps. My students love to read as it allows them to travel to places they've never been, re-live events from the past, or find themselves immersed in a land of fantasy. I wish to be able to provide them with more opportunities to experience the magic of books!
