I have a classroom full of 20 energetic 2nd graders who absolutely love to read. Their favorite part of the day is the few minutes after lunch where I will read aloud a chapter of a book. I want to be able to give the students in my classroom every opportunity to have a book in their hands and be successful at reading/hearing the story. The school has around 800 students kindergarten to fourth grade. In the second grade alone we have about 170 students. This year we have 8 sections of second grade and with the increasing numbers next year it will be 9.
