In first grade, reading lessons are at a variety of levels, depending on the individual student. I have students just learning their letters, beginning readers and some even reading beginning chapter books. My eager learners will select books at their level from our classroom leveled library every day. Students will keep the books they have chosen in their own personalized bin that will be stored on the carts when not in use. COVID-19 has altered the way in which we use classroom materials; these mobile storage carts will assist in keeping our classroom as clean and germ-free as possible. The carts will make it very easy and accessible for students to get their books daily. It will also make it extremely easy to sanitize because it is easy to move and child-friendly. Student health and safety are a priority in my classroom!
