My students come from a low income area and they do not have many welcoming spaces to focus on reading. I want to offer them a space where they will feel at home and comfortable to read. It's my intention to make this reading area a welcoming environment where students will be invited to escape into a different world. Please help me bring this comfort to my students and invest in their advancement in life. Reading will offer them peace of mind and a brighter future. Their love of reading is inspirational. It breaks my heart that most of them do not get offered an adequate area for this purpose. Most do not have the means to do so. Even going to the library is a challenge because their parents are at work most of the day.
