Having maps in color to use in class will allow my students to get a better picture of the world. In history class, we use a lot of maps. From troop movements during WWII to Cold War alliances, everything is better in color! One project that I would like to work on early in the school year is to have students create a notebook cover with people and events from history that inspire them. They will include facts about people/events and inspirational quotes. After they print them out, they will become their history notebook cover for the rest of the year. This type of project creates pride in their work and sets the tone for a good school year.
