The Kindle Fires would help motivate and keep my students engaged in academic tasks. The Kindle Fires would give my students access to differentiated materials that cover all curriculum areas: Reading, Math, Social Studies, Science, and Writing to meet their IEP goals. I am requesting 4 Kindle Fires to support their technology needs. They will have access to hundreds of engaging literacy and math apps right at their fingertips! Having their hands on a tablet, using the touchscreen and receiving the visual input engages multiple learning styles. This increases brain activity and student engagement! Hands-on reading, math and other academic activities are always part of our routine, but technology motivates students and gives them another way to practice and generalize the skills they are learning.My students need access to technology to support their learning.
