My students are mainly freshmen with sprinkles of upperclassmen crammed into English classes of 30+ students. Our school is located in the upper-middle class area of town. I have twenty special education students sprinkled throughout my classes along with EL students, who would benefit from the visual support of a document camera. My students are actively engaged on campus through athletics, clubs, and the theater program. Most of my students are college-bound. I also have close to a dozen students who are working specifically to improve their reading skills. A document camera would benefit them immensely as it would make it easier for me to model active reading skills and provide immediate feedback on their worksheets.
