We need headphones for testing! Headphones are a plus when it comes to taking standardized tests nowadays, but that is not the only reason I am seeking out headphones for my class. Listening and working on educational websites at their independent learning levels is one way to use headphones to increase student achievement. The students are more capable of staying focused and driven during technology time if they have working headphones. Plus, it keeps a quiet classroom for me to work with small groups that might need extra attention. Students bring in cheap headphones that end up breaking within a week or don't have any at all. With having a class set, there will not be hygiene or health issues that arise from sharing headphones. I also requested a rug for students to relax on while having technology time with their laptops. This creates a flexible classroom for students who finish their classwork quickly and can move onto technology time. Thank you for considering funding my classroom project! This is my first project and can't wait to surprise my students with your generosity!
