My students are an eclectic mix of individuals that have a desire to learn. More than half of my class receives free or reduced breakfast &/or lunch. Many of them do not have home support and are struggling with basic kindergarten skills. They have many questions about things in their world, that could be answered through non fiction books, but many of the non fiction books in my classroom are way above their reading level.
