I work in a school with 40% free and reduced price lunch students. We have many second language learners and students with Special Education needs. Our skits will be performed for the entire school so everyone can gain knowledge about US History. The arts are so underfunded and always pushed to the end of the line when it comes to instructional time. I am trying to integrate Language Arts, Intervention, Social Studies and the Performing Arts. I also produce our school's Talent Show in the spring and these costumes could be used for both 4th and 5th grade students.
