Storyworks magazines from Scholastic are full of high interest reading from all genres, and they are designed to hold the interest of 10-year-olds. This resource will be used for small group instruction. Students, depending on their reading level, will read with me and in groups with their peers. Many of my students struggle with reading, but they love a great story. We need reading materials that will grab and hold my students' attention, even if they struggle with reading the words. My students love to learn through nonfiction text. They love to study history, animals, and social issues. My goal with Storyworks is to introduce my students to high quality, high interest reading from multiple genres to hook my kids on reading.
