When I think about my students as readers, I think of them as the best and toughest book critics. Surrounded by a world of technology, my students can easily pass on a "bad" book for video games, texting and social media. However, when my students find "great" books, they can't put them down. They want every single book in that series. They want to know what else the author wrote. They want to know why they have to wait for that author to come out with a new book. When my students find the right book fit, they devour them under the desk in other classes (Sorry, wonderful math teachers!). My favorite part of teaching is connecting my students to great books. Every student deserves that experience of "needing" to finish a book right-this-minute, and this project is aimed to expand my library to help all of my students do so.
