My students range in age and grade from 14-19 and from grade 9-12. Students often have to wait to take Spanish as I am the only foreign language teacher. We are not a culturally diverse area and we have a high rate of financial need. It is difficult for my students in Upper Michigan to compete educationally in the U.S., let alone with the world.
