Hawthorne Elementary is a K-5 school located in the Mt. Baker/Columbia City Area in Seattle, Washington. We celebrate our vibrant, diverse population in a nurturing and positive school environment. Hawthorne works with family, community and educational partnerships to meet or exceed the needs of our students. I have a class of 24 2nd graders from a variety of countries and cultures. Literacy, math, and science are important at Hawthorne, but there is also a focus on arts and technology. Nearly 70% of the students at Hawthorne qualify for free/reduced lunch.
