Many of my students are comprised of ELLs, low SES, and students who simply struggle with Spanish. They vary from 9th grade to 11th grade. This year was the first year we did a project on Google docs, and I was simply amazed at how many kids had never used Google for email or creating a document. With that said, some kids who were familiar with it jumped right in to help their peers out. From this one project, I saw companionship amongst the students, but also a desire for technology in the classroom. These kids are so talented, but just need the exposure to the technology that will be used in so many careers and other post-secondary options later in life. With your help, we can take them that much closer.
