This project will provide materials to be used continually throughout the year, as well as used for special assemblies and our cultural celebrations. Students will use the colored seat cushions during Restorative Justice Circles. These flexible, light cushions will make it easier for students to gauge one another's personal space and respond with respect, developing community. Our student population is diverse and the colored cushions help celebrate that diversity. Students begin to see themselves a thread in the fabric of the whole, as International/World Citizens as they gather over the different breads from one another"s countries. Seated together honoring each other's space and cultures-- breaking bread...together.

About my class
