I teach first grade to English Language Learners in the San Fernando Valley. My students read about creativity and imagination. But how often do they get a chance to create? My students love to use their imaginations, but rarely get a chance to create. My first graders love to draw, but they lack experiences in using other mediums. They would love to get a chance to create paintings like the ones they see in books.
