Students have access to interesting, non-fiction English text but are in high need of interesting, non-fiction Spanish text. The addition of non-fiction Spanish text will allow the Orange Room to have a balanced and healthy dual language library. This is where your contribution can make a tremendous impact in our students’ literacy journey. We have a great list of books that we know our students will love and that will continue to push them on the path of full bilingualism and bi-literacy. This list aligns to the second grade science and social studies curricula. Second grade is a crucial year in developing comprehension of complex text and supporting students in analyzing and critically thinking about information. Please help to strike inspiration and develop cultural and linguistic connections for our growing readers.
