Since I teach in an outdated building with poor ventilation, an air purifier will ensure that my students are breathing clean air and help reduce certain airborne viruses, bacteria and mold spores. Undoubtedly, the current pandemic has taken a toll on my students, many of whom are apprehensive about returning to classrooms because they are scared of contracting Covid or have lost family members to the disease. Through this project, it is my hope that the stress and anxiety they are feeling will be reduced, and that they will feel more confident about returning to school. Having the air purifying system will help me ease them back into the classroom after a year of remote learning.
