Our special day class will benefit through equitable access of technology with adaptable programs that allow them to learn academics and remain up to date with technology skills. 21st century technology is evolving everyday, and my students should have the opportunity to be a part of that evolution. With these requested two Dell Chromebooks, students will fortify their mathematics skills and acquire new and fun ways to learn math facts, addition and subtraction strategies, counting, identifying number commonalities, as well as building number sense through adaptive applications that are comprehensive to their performance skills. As English learners, students will also have the opportunity to strengthen language skills and academic language in the world of Mathematics, real world problems, coding, and sciences. Being in a low socioeconomic community, students don't always have access to the latest technology, or other meaningful learning resources! Access to technology will also provide students with meaningful activities during their center times, and students will be able to use technology that challenges them as their knowledge grows. Having technological devices available for personal use can give students individualized attention special needs students need in order to work at their own pace.
