My classroom is a fully flexible seating English Language Arts classroom. I have worked over the past years to purchase four sofas, two arm chairs, two lounge chairs, a restaurant booth, a coffee table, bookshelves, and nearly 4,000 books. These items together, with a new theme each year allow me to create a book store like environment for my students in which they can select appropriate texts and seating to allow them to master state standards. My classroom welcomes all students and allows them to feel safe and at home as they work to become readers and writers.
