Fluency is the key to comprehension! My 5th graders need your help. I teach 5th grade(all subjects) in a small city just outside of Detroit, Michigan. I have 28 hardworking students in my classroom. The vast majority of these students come from a print-poor home environment. I have numerous special education students, speech and language impaired students, and struggling readers in my class this year. These students need help building their fluency skills to enhance their comprehension skills in all subject areas.
