Each day is different. I try to adapt my lessons and sequence according to the needs of the students. I use music, the news, pop culture, karaoke, and interactive software to teach mathematics. The students I teach are amazing kids. I graduated from the school I teach in. I have seen a dramatic increase in student performance since I started teaching 11 years ago. I try to challenge my students, making them believe that they can do anything they set their minds to, no matter where they fall on the income scale. My students are 90% minority, and 80% qualify for free and reduced price lunch. My classes range from Honors level Algebra 2, to 10th graders taking Algebra for the 3rd time. All are great kids, eager to learn, but we do need the tools to teach them. Having the tablet PC in the classroom will help all of my students.
