Our students are in an extremely high poverty area in Delaware. The school is relatively small, but our student body is very spirited and many students hope to move on to college in spite of their economic standing. Unfortunately, the economic situation of the district has impacted the ability of the teachers to print and copy materials, to the point where the students need to copy materials that would otherwise be handed out in class. Many students are forced to copy copious amounts of information, resulting in less ability to listen to explanation. The pacing of the course is also affected negatively by slowing down our progress.

About my class
