Teaching tolerance through literature. That is exactly what this novel will do for these students. I teach a senior Multi-Cultural literature class. This class is part of a Small Learning Community program which enables students to express their learning through different modes of media. However, our school is considered an at-risk school and therefore it is very difficult to buy books that are on the curriculum approved list.
