My class is called "Early Education" because it provides services to kindergarten and first grade students who have been diagnosed with autism, specific learning disability, mental retardation, attention deficit disorder, etc. My students are the sweet, curious and take pride in their achievements. Their inability to concentrate on lesson or tasks (written work) adversely impacts their academic achievement. They become excited about new concepts being taught, but require constant reminders to pay attention. My dream would be for them to become independent learners and not need anyone to tell them to work or look. These materials would truly help make this dream come true.
