My students are creative, clever, and inquisitive and they are eager to know more and do more. Their curious nature is adored and their numerous questions are encouraged. They are driven to get more information from books, magazines, T.V, and other people. They work hard in all of their subjects and simply want a way to discover more. The Internet is the key. However most of the computers in our school are archaic and cannot be updated. I teach in a low socioeconomic area in which many children do not have access to technology since families have limited financial resources. In addition, the city in which I teach has plans to close the city library and at my school we are unable to use the library because of our lack of funds to get a librarian. It is challenging for my students to quench their thirst for knowledge when they are losing access to books and cannot even search on the Internet.
