Our band family of 140 students come from various economic and cultural backgrounds. These students attend school from 7:15 AM - 2:15 PM and often are rehearsing after school until almost 9 PM. They also rehearse all day on Saturdays for most of the school year. They are extremely dedicated and responsible students for their age. Many of these students take it upon themselves to fundraise their financial assessments for the group. The band and colorguard program is supported by a non-profit parent group. They cover expenses such as transportation, staff, and equipment. Their fundraising efforts make it possible to do what we do. With all these expenses, adding or replacing instruments is not always possible.
