Students were unable to communicate face to face with each other for over a year, and this carpet will allow them the opportunity to sit comfortably while talking with their peers. A majority of my students were at home learners last year and missed talking with their friends. In my class, we have the students turn and talk to each other, because when students communicate with each other they get to discuss the lessons we are teaching, and are able to assist each other in material that they find confusing. This carpet is big enough for all of my students to fit on, and have space to prevent germs from being spread. Since my students are younger, we always start our lessons in whole group. The students will be sitting on the carpet during whole group lessons and will remain on the carpet until they are sent back to their tables. Having a nice carpet to sit on will allow the students to be comfortable while they are listening to the lessons.
