My students are a part of a very challenging writing-based, team-taught, interdisciplinary magnet program. The public school program combines classes in literature, art, philosophy, and sociology. The students are required to critically analyze and synthesize the curriculum from the four subject areas into essays, presentations, etc. They are creative, lively, and inspiring and when I am with them in the classroom, teaching is never "work", it is a way of life.
