My students are creative, imaginative, and love to learn about the world around them. Unfortunately our school is located in a low income community and we have very limited resources! I teach children with autism who benefit from sensory items, technology, visuals, and games. They all need to learn how to interact in socially appropriate ways and having access to visuals and games will help. Also, we need sensory items, high interest materials, and technology. Having access to these kinds of resources would create the kind of environment where they would thrive.
