I teach at a High School. It is a large school with an increasing number of low income and exceptional children. Currently I teach 9-12th graders who are mentally disabled in various ways. We have a course of study which allows these students to gain a High School Diploma by meeting certain requirements. Two of those requirements are completing on campus job training and off campus job training. In the 9/10th grades, they focus on the "on campus" job training. The class I am requesting funding for is a 9th/10th grade lab class on the Occupational Course of Study.
